Capital Campaign

The Ipswich Museum’s c.1800 Heard House North Courtyard Rehabilitation Project addresses the urgent restoration and structural repairs to the Heard House.  The long-term sustainability of the Museum’s building, collections and programs is at risk.

In the last decade, poor drainage from a 200-year-old copper beech tree in the North Courtyard has caused significant rot and deterioration in important structural elements of the house.  Phase 2 of this five-phase project undertakes priority structural repairs caused by rot in the vertical posts, sills and clapboards of the house.  The Museum is trying to raise $125,000 before June 2014 for this Capital Campaign and we need everyone’s help to do it!
